Terms and Conditions - 1-Year Protection Plan
1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing Flysound. We offer an optional Flysound 1-Year Protection Plan designed to safeguard your hearing aid investment from unexpected events not covered by the standard manufacturer warranty. This policy explains the terms, conditions, coverage details, and how to make a claim.
By purchasing the Protection Plan, you agree to the terms set forth in this policy.
2. Coverage Overview (One-Time Use Only)
The Flysound Protection Plan provides one-time coverage for the following:
Accidental Damage Protection
If your Flysound hearing aid is accidentally damaged and the incident is not covered by the Flysound One-Year Warranty (for example, drops, liquid exposure, pet damage, or accidental breakage), Flysound will provide a one-time replacement of the damaged components at no additional charge.
Covered components may include:
- One (1) hearing aid unit
- Receiver wire(s) — single or dual
- Charging case
- Ear domes and wax guards
3. Loss and Theft Assistance (One-Time Use Only)
If your Flysound hearing aid is lost or stolen, you may receive a one-time replacement device at a special reduced price of $149.
Flysound may request reasonable verification of the loss or theft. In most situations, a written customer statement describing the incident (such as an email confirmation) will be sufficient. For claims that appear unusual or high-risk, Flysound may require additional documentation, including a police report or similar proof.
4. Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible:
- Coverage begins on the effective date of the plan and continues for one (1) year.
- The plan is only valid for the original purchaser and the specific device it was purchased for.
- The Plan is non-transferable and non-refundable once purchased.
5. How to File a Claim
Conditions of Use:
- All Protection Plan benefits must be requested through Flysound Customer Support (via email or contact information listed on our website), where eligibility will be confirmed. Verification may require information such as the original order number or the email address or phone number used when the order was placed.
- Before any benefit is processed, Flysound Customer Support will review the request with the customer to confirm which specific Protection Plan service is being applied.
- For claims involving accidental damage, the affected device or components must be returned in full to Flysound for inspection unless Flysound determines that a return is not required. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs.
- For loss or theft claims, Flysound may request reasonable proof of the incident, as described in the applicable policy section.
- Once a Protection Plan benefit has been approved and used, the Protection Plan will be considered fulfilled and will automatically expire. Any additional repairs, replacements, or parts will need to be purchased separately.
- Protection Plan coverage cannot be used together with the 50-day trial policy and does not apply to orders that have been refunded.
Flysound reserves the right to request photos or additional documentation to process the claim.
6. Exclusions and Limitations
This Protection Plan does not cover:
- Damage due to abuse, neglect, or intentional misuse
- Damage from unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Any claimed incident outside the plan period
- Issues already covered under the Flysound Warranty Policy.
Flysound reserves the right to determine claim eligibility and replacement decisions.
7. Replacement Terms
Upon approval of a claim:
- Coverage benefits are used once only under this plan.
- Replacement devices are refurbished or new at Flysound’s discretion.
8. Governing Law
This policy is governed by the laws of the state where Flysound operates. Any disputes related to this plan shall be subject to applicable state and federal laws.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
This Plan provides specific contractual rights. It does not extend or modify ELEHEAR’s One-Year Warranty, nor does it alter the scope of ELEHEAR’s standard after-sales service.
10. Changes to Policy
Flysound reserves the right to update or modify this Protection Plan Policy at any time. Policy changes will be effective upon posting to the Flysound website.
